SASSA Will Take Solutions to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services for the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering companies which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency mentioned it is actually alarmed in regards to the superior quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme website [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office dedicated to service the sassa status check area on a daily basis. The service issue developed for intervention experiences a significant influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to allow the servicing of all buyers and boost use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
